Red Bulls’ Ricciardo once again made the podium in third place behind Bottas of Williams who finished in second place.
Same cannot be said for teammate Felipe Massa celebrating his 200th race, but his performance was nothing but disappointing as the Williams driver’s poor season continued.
Home boy Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes finished the race with a time of 2:26:52.094, but the fans were denied another likely 1-2 finish by the Mercedes drivers when Current Leader of the Drivers Championship Log Nico Rosberg had to retire when his car encountered gearbox trouble.
Jenson Button of Mclaren finished in 4th place while Sebastien Vettel of Red Bull came in fifth place.
The Formula 1 train now moves to Hockenheim, Germany, for the next Grand Prix on the 20th of July.
