The Serb Defeated Switzerland’s Roger Federer, 6–7(7–9), 6–4, 7–6(7–4), 5–7, 6–4 in a trilling encounter.
The Women’s single final had earlier been Won by Czech Republic’s Petra Kvitová on Saturday when she beat Eugenie Bouchard of Canada in two straight sets 6–3, 6–0
The Women’s Single defending champion Marion Bartoli of France did not return to SW19, to defend her title after announcing her retirement last year.
while top seeds like Serena Williams and Li NA were ousted earlier on in the tourney.
Andy Murray of Great Britain the defending champion in men’s singles, was also bundled out by Australian wild card recipient Grigor Dimitrov in the quarterfinals.
The 2014 Wimbledon Championships was the 128th edition of the tournament, with total Prize money of £25 million.
The winners of the Men’s And Women’s Singles final at the 2014 edition of Wimbledon were handed £1.76m,up £160,000 from last year’s edition.
