LAGOS FA CUP: OBESERE VOWS TO MOTIVATE BURUJ STARLETS TO VICTORY

As Buruj Sports Academy boys are poised to confront Free Stars FC on Tuesday in the round of 16 stage of this year’s Lagos State Football Association competition, one of the major pillars of support for the academy, Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere, has challenged the youngsters to fly over their opponents so that they can make it to the next round.

The game will hold inside the Agege Stadium at exactly 7.30 am and the man popularly known as Omo Rapala vowed that he will do everything he can to motivate the boys so that they can give their very best. He also promised that irrespective of the result, he will continue to be part of what the management of Buruj Sports Academy is doing to promote sports from the grassroots.

“I want to assure our players who are billed to play against Free Stars on Tuesday that I am solidly behind them. They are young boys who need motivation and other incentives and I am willing to do my best to make them happy.”

“My hope is that they will win the first match and proceed to the next stage. I have been part of what the academy is all about since its inception and I am ready to continue to be part of what the management are doing to promote sports from the grassroots.”

“I want them to win but whether they win or not, that will not prevent me from giving my support to both the management, the players and the officials,” the Ibadan-born musician called PK1st by admirers posited.

Meanwhile, the players of the Buruj Sports Academy have also expressed determination to beat Free Stars come Tuesday so that they can go far in the competition this year.

According to some of them, with the kind of support they are getting from the management and other individuals, they cannot afford to disappoint.
