Gerard Houllier Denies Anelka’s Allegations, Considers Law Suit

Former Liverpool manager has rubbished Nicolas Anelka’s claim he has a “racist character” and he is looking at the
possibility of taking legal action against him.

In Gerard Houllier’s new book “I’ll never walk alone,” He told the story of an argument with Anelka’s brothers where he saw “for the first time in his life black men blush”.

The former Bolton Wanderers and Chelsea striker, who played under Houllier at Liverpool on a short-term loan deal, reacted by posting a video on YouTube accusing Gerard Houllier of having a “racist character but this is not the first time.”

Anelka added: “This is not the first time you talk about blacks. What happened when you were at Liverpool and all the players, English or foreign, wanted to re-sign. You re-signed them by improving their contracts. What happened when blacks, people with black skin like me, came into your office, what did you say? You haven’t written that in your book!”

“Your words: ‘No, you blacks, once we give you more money, you do **** all. Those are your words Gerard!”

Gerard Houllier has come out to deny the allegation and brand it as “absolutely ludicrous and ridiculous”.

“I never, never said that. This is false, super false, I am going to formally challenge this, it is a serious slander. I defy anyone to say that I’m a racist with the number of black players with whom I have had the chance to work. You ask them. I am going to see if I am going to sue.” Houllier said
