– Stoke City have announced the signing of Dutch international winger Ibrahim Afellay.

– Former AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari has signed a two-year contract with Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad

– Manchester United have completed the signing of free-agent Sergio Romero on a three-year deal with an option of a further 12 months.

– Watford have completed the signing of winger Steven Berghuis from AZ Alkmaar on a four-year deal.

– Former Chelsea and Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has signed for MLS side New York Red Bulls.

– Aston Villa have signed striker Jordan Ayew from Lorient on a five-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

– Didier Drogba has completed a move to MLS side Montreal Impact.

– Marseille have completed the signing of Javi Manquillo from Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan deal.

– According to reports in France, PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi and club Sporting Director Olivier Létang are currently in London as they seek to finalise contract negotiations for the transfer of Manchester United forward Angel di Maria.

– Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe intends to strengthen his team in one or two more areas before their first match against Aston Villa.

– Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is in Italy to complete his season-long loan move to Roma.

– Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt has confirmed the club received an offer for Julian Draxler today, but that the midfielder will not be sold. “We’ve received an offer from Juventus today, but have rejected it and request that the club do not contact us again,Draxler is not for sale.” Heldt said
