Kenya Drawn Against Algeria‏ In Pool A At Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship

Seven times Women’s African Nations champions Kenya have been drawn in Group A of the 2015 Championships that serves off on Friday 12 June at the Kasarani Gymnasium, Nairobi.

In a draw conducted on Thursday evening during a technical meeting at Kasarani, the hosts will battle it out with their North African rivals Algeria, Mauritius and Botswana in the group stages.

Tunisia who denied Kenya a chance to participate in the 2014 World Championship after beating them in a decisive match headlines Group B that has Cameroun, Morocco and Senegal.

Cameroun will battle with Senegal in Group B opening match on Friday at 4.pm local time before the defending champions Kenya entertain Mauritius in a Group A opener at 6.pm.

The winner of the ten-day championship will represent the continent at the 2015 FIVB Women’s World Cup to be hosted in Japan from August 22 to September 6 2015.
