Lagos darling team, 36 Lions has finally given their teeming fans something to cheer with a hard-earned 3-2 win over their Yobo FC counterparts in Metro Pro League Week 7 tie at the Onikan Stadium on Wednesday.

A brace by Sani Riliwan and a goal from Jamiu Quadri gave the day to the Lion as they outscored their foes in the tension soaked match.

Yobo FC’s Candy Austin goal and that of Afefu Obanoa were not enough to tame the rampaging 36 Lion stars as both sides hit the back of the net five times in 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, Bridge FC consolidated their lead on the log with a 2-1 win over Collins Edwin Sports Club at Agege Stadium. Salami Idris muscled his way into the box to grab the winner for Bridge FC.

The Godson Uti-boys have now opened a four points gap ahead of Apapa Golden Stars and Remo Stars Football Club on the Metro Pro League table.

Action continues on Thursday, as Apapa Golden Stars will fancy their chances against Nath Boys at Teslim Balogun Stadium, while Remo Stars will lock horns with visiting Bolowotan Football Club of Ikorodu at Agege Stadium. Both games kicks off at 4pm.
