PRINCE ELUTABE TIPS NIGERIA FOR CHAN GLORY – By Akeem Busari

Stakeholders in Nigeria football have come up with varying expectations for the new season. One of the major stakeholders in

Speaking during an interview, Elutabe, who is President of Lagos based non-league side, Freestan Sports club, was optimistic that Nigerian football shall definitely move notches higher.

“Football in Nigeria last year was quite successful and I think it all down to the total commitment of all stakeholders and administrators in Nigerian football,” he quipped. He was particularly, impressed with the achievements of the Amaju Pinnick led NFF board, for the several innovations and ideas they have brought to Nigerian football.”

Much more, the successes achieved in Nigerian football last year, would definitely have a positive impact in the fortunes of our football, this year,” he enthused.

According to the business entrepreneur cum football aficionado, the home based Eagles would not disappoint during the CHAN, scheduled to begin this week in Rwanda. He believed that the level already attained in the local league, would put the team in good stead to go ahead and do better than its third place at the last edition of CHAN held in South Africa.

“I would call the present happenings in Nigerian football, the beginning of a new dawn for our football,” he remarked.

“From all indications, the boys would definitely bring out their best during the championship. And of course, they also understand that the CHAN, is an opportunity to showcase their talents on a bigger stage. Thus, I see the team returning to Nigeria, as champions,” he added confidently.

Eagles Confront Palancas Negras Ahead CHAN

The Super Eagles B will take on fellow Rwanda-bound Palancas Negras of Angola in an international friendly in Pretoria on Wednesday.
