Former Dolphins’ striker Obinna Amakor wants return to Dolphins

According to the Media Officer of the team China Acheru Former Dolphins’ top scorer, Obinna Amakor says he wants to make a return to the club he left in 2010.

Amakor was at Dolphins between 2008 and 2010, emerging top scorer at the side in his first season. He moved to Egypt but now says he wouldn’t mind a return to Port Harcourt

“I used to score when I was at Dolphins and was even the top scorer at the club for two years.

“But I left for Egypt to join a side called Ghazzi Mahala even though the crisis in the country then ensured I returned to Nigeria and I teamed up with Akwa Starlets last season just to keep myself busy,” Amakor said.

“Since I am around, I would wish to play for Dolphins again but it is not a big deal to me. I really want to play in Nigeria, but if I have a chance I will go back abroad,” Amakor said.

Obinna Amakor joined Dolphins in 2008 when the club played in the lower division, then called the Pro League Division One. His goals helped the club gain promotion that season but after one season in the top division, he left to Egypt.
