Nigerian international Lukman Haruna will be making his debut for his new club, Anzhi Makhachkala in Sunday’s away clash at Krylya Sovetov Samara.

Anzhi Makhachkala completed the signing of midfielder Haruna Lukman on a season-long loan deal from Dynamo Kiev till the end of 2015.

Last season at Dynamo, the former Golden Eaglets player made 18 appearances for Serhiy Rebrov’s men with nine of them as substitute.

Now Lukman has a chance to revive his career in the Russian Premier League, where it will be hoped he can get regular playing time.

In an exclusive chat, with haruna’s agent Fatai Haruna, he hinted that , Haruna opted for russia because , he knows much about russian football, is a professional footballer who has played in the uefa champions league, europa, the french league and the ukrainian league, so i know russia wont be hard for him at all. he had other options like epl, spanish la-liga but we the family sat down and we took critical look at his options then we decided that the right destination for now is russia , and i know he will give a 100 percent at the club.

Haruna will compete with Valeriu Ciupercă, Ivan Mayewski and Batraz Khadartsev for a place in Yuri Semin’s starting XI as the Anzhi-Arena outfit look to improve on their second-placed finish in the 2014-15 campaign
