La Gazzetta 11 for 2013, No Messi or Ibrahimovic

Italian newspaper La Gazzetta has released it’s own list of best players from from Europe’s top leagues, the list is dominated by players from the German Bundesliga with 8 players (5 from Bayern Munich and 3 from Borusia Dortmund) Chelseafc’s Eden Hazard is the only English Premier League player in La Gazzetta’s XI for 2013 while Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player from the Spanish La Liga, meanwhile notably missing from this XI is Lionel Messi of Barcelona amongst others.

So what do you make of the La Gazzetta’s XI of 2013, which player would you add ? Isn’t it strange that no player from the Serie A made it to this list? What are your thoughts. Please find below the full La Gazzetta XI

La Gazzetta’s XI of 2013:

Keeper: Neuer (Bayern Munich)

Defenders: Lahm (Bayern Munich), Subotic (Borussia Dortmund), Thiago Silva (PSG), Alaba (Bayern Munich)

Midfielders: Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich), Gündogan (Borussia Dortmund), Hazard (Chelsea), Ribéry (Bayern Munich)

Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Lewandowski (Borussia Dortmund)
