The Nigeria Football Federation,NFF has finally settle the dispute over the rightful owner of Golden Eaglets, goalkeeper, Sunday Dele Alamupasu.
The arbitration panel headed by Director of Competitions of the federation, Dr Mohammed Sanusi and the two parties involved in a face-off over the ownership of the goalkeeper, Future Stars Academy and Abuja Football College.
At meeting held at the Glass House in Abuja, the panel dismissed the 4 years contract of the football college Abuja stating is clearly void and criminal because minor is only expected to sign 3 years contract instead of the 4 year and the promise by Abuja Football College to send players to school was not met according to there contract.
The NFF resolve the saga by compensating Football College Abuja with 50% of the goalkeeper’s contract because of their 8 month impact on Alampasu and Future Stars Academy 50%.
However the Arbitration panel commend Future Stars Academy for giving the player and his father 15% out of their share of 50% because transfer fee is meant to be shared by the football school/ academy that nurture the player.
The meeting that lasted over 3 hours was a heat up at the glass house because both clubs disagree with the sharing method.
It was noted that Mr Olusola Orelaja the player agent of Sunday Alampasu who flew into the country from UK to resolve the matter said the father and the player need to be compensated for their effort hence need for them to benefit from the transfer fee.
“We are only interested to see the matter resolved peacefully so that Alampasu future continue without hindrance such as this”. Orelaja submitted.
Finally, Abuja Football College was awarded 50%, Future Stars Academy 35%, Father and Dele Alampasu 15%.
Also at the panel was Kumbi Titiloye the administrator of Football College Abuja, the player’s father, Tomi Alampasu who flew into Abuja with the parent consent agent Olusola Orelaja, Future Stars Academy Manager, Adeniyi Adebayo the scout who introduce Alampasu from Future Stars to Abuja College.
Tomi Alampasu thanked the NFF for resolving the matter peaceful, while also thanking the Seyi Akinwunmi led board of the Lagos FA for their support and advise.
