Several attempts had been made in the past to clear up the lingering contractual quagmire the player found himself in but all proved abortive until yesterday when the Nigeria Football Federation Player’s Status Committee ruled that all ” contracts entered into with all the academy’s claiming ownership of the player were entered into as a minor” hence they are deemed to be void.

The aggrieved parties namely, Football College Abuja and Future Stars Academy will however be entitled to some form of “training compensation.

Alampasu can now officially be unveiled as an Estoril Player when the transfer window opens on the 1st of July 2015

NFF Urged To Closely Monitor Football Academies In The Country.

…As Abuja Football College Shun Peace Meeting With Future Stars, Remo Stars FC.

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has been charged to monitor the career of young nigeria and national teams players more closely, because of the activities of most football academies in the country.

Welfare officer of Future Stars Academy, Olubunmi Balogun made this call, while urging the federation to look into the ownership dispute of National Under-20 goalkeeper, Sunday Dele Alampasu.

In a chat with Sports journalists, Balogun accused the Abuja Football College of playing games over the career of the young goalkeeper, playing hide and seek with the leadership of Future Stars academy and NFF, when the representative of Abuja Football College, Kumbi Titiloye refused to attend a meeting called by the NFF 1st Vice President, Seyi Akinwunmi to resolved the matter between the parties involved.

He disclosed that a meeting was scheduled between all parties involved for Abuja, which led to 1st Vice President of the NFF to invite Mr Olusola Orelaja who brokered the Dele Alampasu deal in Portugal from his London base to attend the meeting.

On arriving Lagos on Tuesday 24th March 2015, a call was put through to Mr Kumbi Titiloye, and a agreement was reached to meet in Abuja on the 26th March but Titiloye later called to cancel the meeting because of his team’s friendly match against the National Under-23 team.

A new date was agreed for the 4th of April 2015 at 2pm, With all parties involved duly informed of the changed in date and venue, but to the surprise of all parties involved which includes the President of Remo Stars Football Club, Honorable Kunle Soname, NFF’s 1st Vice President, Seyi Akinwunmi, Olusola Orelaja, Player representative and My humble self representing Future Stars.

Titiloye who was earlier communicating with Mr Olusola Orelaja on arriving in Lagos at the MM2 airport, later switched off his phone, while everybody waited at the meeting venue in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Kumbi Titiloye didn’t even deem it fit to call any of the parties involved to apologies or give reason for his non attendance of the meeting.

The player in question Dele Alampasu is above 18 years old and has the right to decide what he wants, sadly he was denied his signature right with Estoril Portugal owing to the fact that Abuja Football College was attached on the U-20 World Cup list. Hence the reason “We are calling on the Leadership of Nigeria Football Federation to intervene so that the career of the boy won’t be wasted because of selfish reasons”. He noted.
