Newfanzone BPL Team Of The Week. Game Week 11

The Lads at the Newfanzone have collectively selected this week’s Barclays Premier League team of the week (Week 11). 

We have chosen to line up in a 4-3-3 attacking formation and this are the stand out players for us.

Formation: 4-3-3

Goal Keeper: Brad Guzan (Aston Villa)

The American Goal keeper had an excellent performance and was the major reason Aston Villa kept a clean sheet against West Ham

Right back: Daryl Janmaat (Newcastle)

The Netherlands international produced an excellent performance against West Brom, setting up both goals for Newcastle.

Left Back: Leighton Baines (Everton)

Baines produced a fantastic performance against Sunderland and scored his team’s equalizer.

Centre defender: Ron Vlaar (Aston Villa)

The Villa Captain was at his best against West Ham and was key to his team keeping a clean sheet at Upton park.

Centre Defender: Fabricio Coloccini (Newcastle)

Since Coloccini got back into the Newcatle team,their performances has improved. The Argentine’s organisational skills at the back against West Brom was immense

Midfielder: Gylfi Sigurdsson (Swansea)

Sigurdsson had a nice game against Arsenal and capped it off with a top-class free kick to score Swansea City’s first goal

Midfielder: Emre Can (Liverpool)

The young German midfielder had a good game against Chelsea and scored a lovely goal in the early minutes of the match

Midfielder: Jefferson Montero (Swansea)

The Ecuadorian winger was a torn in the flesh of Calum Chambers all evening and eventually made an assist for Bafetembi Gomis to score Swansea City’s winning goal against Arsenal

Forward: Charlie Austin (QPR)

The Queen Park Rangers’ striker has been in blistering form of late and scored two lovely goals against Premier League Champions on Saturday.

Forward: Shane Long (Southampton)

Long was a second half substitute against Leicester City and still had enough time to score two well-taken goals to give Ronald Koeman’s team victory.

Forward: Sergio Aguero (Man City)

The Argentine Striker continued his goal-scoring form against QPR. He scored two lovely goals to ensure his team got a point at Loftus Road.

– Newcastle United has signed Dutch right-back Daryl Janmaat for £5million from Feyenoord on a six year contract

-Official: Chelsea have completed the signing of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid on a 5 year deal.

-Dutch Centre back Bruno Martins-Indi has joined FC Porto on a 4 year deal. The transfer fee is €7.7million

– Official: Liverpool have announced the signing of Benfica forward Lazar Markovic on a long term contract.

– According to reports, Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarelia look set to sign for Torino for £2.4million.Just a minor details are missing before Torino can announce Quagliarelia’s signing.

– Southampton have offered Jay Rodriguez a new 5year contract. He has two years left on his contract.

– Aston Villa hopes to sign Ki Sung-Yeung by the end of the week.

– Southampton and Stoke City have both had bids for Norwich city midfielder Nathan Redmond rejected

– Tottenham insist they have no intention of selling Jan Vertoghen this summer. Spurs will resist all offers for the Belgian International

– FC Porto on the verge of agreeing a loan deal with Barcelona for Cristian Tello.

– FC Porto has given PSV Eindhoven permission to talk with Steven Defour

– 672million Brazil 2014 related tweets were sent during the just concluded world cup. Brazilian star Neymar Jr was the most mentioned player during the tournament, followed by Argentina’s Lionel Messi and Uruguay’s Luis Suarez.

– Wall Street says Manchester United is now the most Valuable team in the world after Adidas deal. Shares of Manchester United Surged almost 5% yesterday after the football team announced its new £75million a year kit deal with Adidas, Wall Street now affords Manchester United an enterprise value of $3.6billion.
