Existing users of the app will need to download the latest update to benefit from all the latest features.

Available for iPod, iPhone, iPad and Android devices, the latest version of the IAAF app features otimised and improved live results and stats, news, records, top lists, athlete profiles, photos, medal and placing tables and customised alerts.

It can be downloaded from the App Store or from Google Play.

IAAF World Youth Championships statistics E handbook Launched

The statistics handbook for the IAAF World Youth Championships, Cali 2015 is now available to access as an ebook from the IAAF website.

The 190-page book has been compiled by IAAF statistics and documentation senior manager Ottavio Castellini and the renowned athletics statistician Félix Capilla.

It features the leading results from the previous championships, world youth all-time lists and – new for this edition – medals tables from the past editions of each championships, along with a wealth of other useful information.

The IAAF World Youth Championships will be held from 15-19 July.

The 2015 world youth lists have now been expanded to show the top 20 in each event.

TWO WEEKS TO GO – IAAF WORLD YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS, CALI 2015

The IAAF World Youth Championships, Cali 2015 will get underway in exactly two weeks’ time and final entry figures confirm that it will be the biggest international athletics event to be held in South America.

The Colombian city is set to welcome 1237 athletes from 153 countries between 15 and 19 July.

Previously, the largest IAAF track and field championships to be held in South America was the 2000 IAAF World Junior Championships, where 1122 athletes from 151 countries competed.

The IAAF World Youth Championships is one of the leading events in the IAAF’s global competition programme, providing a platform for the world’s leading athletes under the age of 18 to excel.

Cali is Colombia’s second-biggest city and widely considered to be the country’s sporting centre, having hosted a number of top sporting events in the past, notably the 1971 Pan American Games.

It will be the first time that there has been a South American host for the IAAF World Youth Championships, which were inaugurated in 1999.

2ND IAAF WORLD YOUTH COACHES CONFERENCE TO BE HELD IN CALI ON 20 JULY

The 2nd IAAF World Youth Coaches Conference will be held in Cali, Colombia, on Monday 20 July, giving the opportunity for coaches from approximately 150 national teams assembled for the IAAF World Youth Championships, Cali 2015 the chance to attend.

It will be held at the Escuela Nacional del Deporte in Cali.

The conference will be opened by IAAF President Lamine Diack and features six experts from around the world discussing topics of interest in this category for the coaching profession.

IAAF WORLD YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS, CALI 2015 – 20 DAYS TO GO

With just 20 days to go to the IAAF World Youth Championships, Cali 2015 the IAAF is happy to announce an exciting new project which will involve the reigning Olympic and world decathlon champion Ashton Eaton and five young athletes who will be competing in the Colombian city.

After the IAAF World Youth Championships next month, with the event being held from 15-19 July, Eaton will select five athletes who will have particularly impressed him in Cali, with not only their achievements on the track but also their commitment to the sport and fair play.

The selection of athletes will be made across the disciplines and from a diverse group of IAAF Member Federations, and the athletes will be invited to Eugene for an all-expenses paid three-day training camp with Eaton in early March

The website (in both English and Spanish) will be enhanced and expanded continually in the coming months as the championships draw nearer.
