As a follow up to the previous shortlist of CAF African Footballer of the year awards, CAF as further pruned the list down to 10 African footballer player plying their trade outside the shores of the continent and also another list of ten top players based on the continent of Africa.
Last year’s winner Yaya Toure of Cote d’Ivoire and Man City is on the list as well as Borussia Dortmund’s Gabonese Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Yacine Brahimi of Algeria & Porto also features on the list alongside Ghana’s André Ayew who also plays for Swansea in the Barclays English Premiership.

The winner will be decided by votes of the Coaches or Technical Directors of the National Associations affiliated to CAF.
The awards gala will be held on Thursday, 7 January 2016 in Abuja, Nigeria.
