2015 in Review
Egypt made a record in 2015 gaining their eighth African title after they overcame arch rivals Tunisia 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-21) in the final of the 2015 Men’s African Nations championship at Cairo Stadium complex in Cairo, Egypt last July.
Beside the title Egypt achieved unprecedented record of winning the trophy for 6 consecutive times and the eighth in total after 1976, 1983, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013.
The competition showed Egyptian dominance from the start till the end as the Egyptian players showed high spirit after gaining the gold medal of the 2015 World League group 3.
Egypt gained also 4 individual awards through Abelhalim Abou (Best Server), Mohamed Abdel Moneim (Best Receiver), Mohamed Adel (Best Blocker) and Ahmed Salah Abdelhay (MVP)
