Manchester United’s Former Manager and arguably One of Great Britain’s biggest football managers ever Sir Alex Ferguson thrown his weight behind League Leaders Leicester City bid to win the Barclays English Premiership.
Sir Alex has compared the current League Leaders with the United side he led to their first league title in years.
Ferguson believes that Leicester manager Claudio Rannieri must strengthen his squad when the January Transfer window opens.
“If I were him (Ranieri) I’d want an investment in January because this is a big opportunity. They could win the league, the way they are playing at the moment, and they have goals in their team he said.
Leicester have been very shrewd in the market, with players like Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez virtually unknown until a few months ago.
The Former Man Utd Manager praised Vardy for his display so far saying “He is aggressive, he is quick, he has got energy and he has got a goal in him. He has proved that. He has got assets suited to modern-day football, particularly at a club like Leicester City”.

Leicester City are owned by Thai Billionaire Vishai Srivaddhanaprabha and ferguson believes that the club must splash the cash in other to strengthen their team for the long race towards maintaining their position at the top of the league till the end of the season.
Leicester City currently top the log, followed by Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.
