CAVB National Coaches’ Course Aids 75 Participants In Cameroon

The African Volleyball Confederation “CAVB” continued their ambitious Development plan with a huge National Coaches’ Course in Yaoundé, Cameroon attended by a record of 75 participants on August 1 to 7, 2014.

The coach instructor Moustafa Ahchouche did a fantastic job to train this big number of participants coming from all around the country most of them were teachers of physical education, some senior players and coaches with different FIVB levels, as they tried to develop their knowledge prowess and help spread of the game across the country.

Ahchouche conducted 7 theoretical and 5 practical sessions throughout the 7 days of the course in the big Olympic Stadium in Yaoundé.

Another record of 15 women attended the course as a project of new women coaches throughout the West African country.

The closing ceremony was attended by many guests of honour led by the Cameroonian Minister of sports, the representative of National Olympic Committee and Julien Serge President of the Cameroon volley ball Federation.

“I want to thank the CAVB for their support and hope that this course will further contribute to the development in my country,” said Julien Serge, the president of Cameroon VB Federation.

The course instructor was happy with the outcome of the event and the performance of the participants.

“The Cameroon Volleyball Federation is composed of young and energetic members; they are ambitious to perform all basic actions for the development of volleyball in their country. I’m happy to work with them and appreciate their great support to bring this course to a great success.” He said
